BBQ Chicken Toastie


  • 2 slices wholegrain bread OR sourdough
  • ΒΌ avocado
  • 80-100g Chicken (either BBQ Chicken, Grilled Chicken or tinned)
  • 1 x slice of cheese
  • Optional: BBQ and/or Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • Butter/Margarine, if needed
  • Side Salad (lettuce, tomato, carrot, beetroot, cucumber, etc.)


  • Spread avocado on bread, then top with chicken and cheese.
  • Spread outside of sandwich with butter/margarine if needed and toast for a few minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  • Serve with a side salad and any other sides as per meal plan.

Gluten Free adaptable:
Switch bread for Gluten Free alternative.

FODMAP adaptable:
Choose low FODMAP bread (eg. spelt sourdough, gluten free).
Keep avocado to 1/8 per serve.
Keep beetroot to 1 slice per serve.
Keep sauce to 1tbsp per serve.
