Cajun Chicken


  • 2 chicken breast (small)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • OR 2 tsp fresh crushed garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • OR 1 tsp onion flakes
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt


  • Prep Ingredients: Slice chicken breast into fillets.
  • Note: If cooking in the oven, preheat the oven to 210°C.
  • For the Seasoning: Combine paprika, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, onion, cayenne pepper, black pepper and salt in a small bowl and combine well. Alternatively, combine all ingredients in a blender and blitz until well combined (this works best when making a bigger batch for later!)
  • Combine chicken fillets, half of the oil and spice mix in a small bowl and mix until chicken is completely covered
  • If cooking on a pan: add the rest of the oil to the pan on moderate to high heat. Once the oil is hot, add chicken mix and allow to cook through on both sides. Serve immediately
  • If cooking in the oven: add oil to a non-stick oven dish and spread evenly. Spread chicken evenly along the tray and allow to cook for 20-30 minutes.
  • Serve with veggies and quinoa/rice (if specified)
