Chicken & White Bean Burgers


  • 500-600g chicken mince
  • OR 500-600g turkey mince
  • 400g canned cannellini beans
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1 onion (small)
  • 2 tsp worcestershire Sauce
  • tabasco sauce (optional)
  • OR chilli (optional)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or quinoa flakes)
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • wholegrain rolls (or Gluten Free alternative)
  • hummus
  • cheddar cheese
  • 1 avocado (large)
  • 2 tomatoes
  • tomato salsa
  • OR chutney
  • 2 cups salad greens


  • Prep Ingredients: Rinse and drain the cannellini beans, grate the carrot and zucchini and finally slice the cheddar cheese.
  • Prepare and cook the potato wedges (if included in your portion) as per accompanying recipe;
  • For the burgers: Put the mince, carrot and zucchini in a large bowl.
  • Mince the beans and onion in a food processor until finely chopped to a paste – add to meat mix with sauces, egg, breadcrumbs and herbs.
  • Mix it all together, then make into burger patties (should make around 8).
  • Grill the burger patties until cooked through or cook in oven at 180deg.
  • Spread the buns with hummus and salsa and add all salads of your choice then the burger pattie, slice of cheese and ¼ avocado to each burger.
  • Serve with wedges if specified.

For egg allergies: substitute with Orgran No Egg OR flaxseed meal/chia seeds (1Tbsp ground seeds per 3Tbsp water per egg)
