Steamed Veggies

Ingredients

  • 4 cups mixed vegetables of your choice
  • 1 tsp water

Method

  • Prepare all your desired vegetables by cutting them into smaller florets or chunks.
  • Place in large, microwave safe dish or container.
  • Add about 1 tsp of water to the dish & cover loosely with a lid or glad wrap.
  • Place in microwave for 3minutes. Check to see if your veggies are cooked – depending on your microwave they may need an extra 1-2 minutes.
  • Serve with your meal & enjoy!
  • HOT TIPS: Add some toasted sesame seeds & 1tsp of ketchup manis / soy sauce OR Add in a crushed garlic clove or ginger before cooking OR Stir through some roasted pine-nuts and feta cheese just before serving.

Veggie Recommendations:
We recommend eating the rainbow! Try different coloured veg like broccoli, zucchini, beans, mushrooms, peas, carrot and capsicum!

FODMAP adaptable:
Choose low FODMAP vegetables (e.g red capsicum, carrot, broccoli).
